Congratulations to Charlie Sheen for turning his life around. Most of America watched as he publicly spiraled out of control with rants and tirades all related to alcohol and drugs. As he stated in his recent interview, he was out of control and could not stop the raging fire! Everyone’s takeaway from this is that it is never too late to seek help.
Recovery presents one with the opportunity of regaining a normal life. But the beauty is that no one has to hit bottom and lose it all before taking action. There are programs that help you regain control of your life without hitting bottom. My Spirit Matters offers such a program, for those ready to turn things around before they hit bottom. But, this is another wake up call to the devastating and destructive nature of addiction. Charlie Sheen is new to recovery and this takes time, but it is a great first step.
